Over €2000 raised for SRCC at Charity Motorbike Run

Charity Motorbike Run – Over €2000 Raised for Sligo Rape Crisis Centre

A Charity Motorbike Run was held on Sunday 2nd February to raise funds for Sligo Rape Crisis Centre (SRCC). The motorbike run, held in conjunction with Sligo & District Motorcycle Club (SDMCC), began at Supermacs Sligo and travelled to Donegal town. Over €2000 was raised as part of the event. All money raised on the day will go directly towards providing Sligo Rape Crisis Centre’s counselling and support services in the local community for individuals affected by sexual violence.

SRCC CEO David Madden said, “I would like to thank the SDMCC, in particular Margaret Darcy, Alan Watters and Declan Feehily, for their help and support. I would also like to thank everyone who turned up on the day, over 130 bikers in Sligo and Donegal, and Supermacs Sligo for their support. It was a great opportunity to raise awareness of sexual violence and the supports available in the community”.
