Sligo Rape Crisis Centre is delighted to announce the sale of the newly published book Ancient Irish Trees by esteemed artist Alexandra van Tuyll.
David Madden, CEO of Sligo Rape Crisis Centre said “On behalf of the centre, we are honoured to accept the generous donation of Alexandra’s book. All proceeds will go directly to much needed front-line services, like our helpline and counselling.”
The book follows the 13 ancient Irish trees, as mentioned in the Celtic Calendar, through the 4 seasons in painted images. Every season has an Early Christian poem about it on the opposite page.
Recommended retail price of this beautiful book is €50, however we are happy to accept any donation you would like to make. All proceeds of the sale of this beautiful book will help provide SRCC’s support and counselling services available across Sligo, Leitrim and West Cavan.
