A recent table quiz to raise funds for Sligo Rape Crisis Centre was held in The Blue Lagoon, Sligo town on October 2nd 2025. The local business community in Sligo were hugely supportive of the event, offering donations of raffle prizes and vouchers for use at the event. Sligo Rape Crisis Centre would like to thank the following businesses for their generous support: The Cat and The Moon, EJ’s Menswear, Cordners Shoes, McKim’s Centra Collooney, Salus Hair and Beauty, Moffits, Hawk’s Well Theatre, Omniplex Cinema, Tesco, Hargadon Bros, Kate’s Kitchen, Tir na nOg, Rugantinos, Higgins Pharmacy, Burke’s Pharmacy, Healthwise Pharmacy, Clever Office, The Gate Lodge Cafe and The Blue Lagoon. There was a great atmosphere at the event and SRCC would like to congratulate all prize winners. Hundreds of euros were donated on the night and every euro raised at the table quiz will go directly towards supporting survivors of sexual violence.
Sligo Rape Crisis Centre provides a safe, free, confidential space for survivors of child sexual abuse, rape and sexual assault in Sligo, Leitrim, and Cavan. It is a place where adults and young people affected by sexual violence, can access support and counselling in a safe environment. Our mission is to create a safe place for those who have experienced sexual violence recently or in the past, and provide advocacy as required. We provide awareness and training to support other agencies who are working with survivors. We are committed to challenging the tolerance and existence of sexual violence and conduct outreach in the form of consent workshops for secondary school students.
